Mini-Lesson #27- Angry Feelings

Today's Peacemakers mini-lesson is about responding to angry feelings in a peaceful way.  It's okay to feel angry and it is possible to respond to and regulate our anger in a healthy and positive way.

Follow Up Activities:
  • Draw your own Feelings Volcano.  Identify your anger clues/signs, as well as identifying things you can do to peacefully respond and regulate those feelings before an explosion happens.

  • Watch the Howard B. Wigglebottom video below!  Ask yourself the following questions:
    • What are the clues/signs that Howard is moving up the volcano? (watch for clenched fist, red face, tummy tight)
    • Allie also gets angry sometimes.  How does she handle it differently?
    • What strategies does Allie teach Howard to help him peacefully respond to his anger?  Would these work for you?
