Mini-Lesson #18- Our Thoughts Are Powerful!!!

 We have been talking about our feelings and sharing strategies to help name and explore our emotions.  Next we will talk about our thoughts.  Are your thoughts helping you to face life's challenges or making things harder?  

Follow-Up Activities:

  • Do you have any negative thinking patterns?  If so what are they and when do they pop up?  An example might be that you when you look at your remote learning plan in the morning you think, "This is too much work!  I'll never be able to do all this!  This is too hard!".  These thoughts are likely making your remote learning days more difficult for you and your family.  
  • How can you shift your negative thinking to something more helpful?  Look at the example below of how Scaredy Squirrel changed his thinking about remote learning to help him feel more positive and be more productive.
