Follow Up Activities

  • How do you know when you need to ask for help?  Write about or draw a picture of a time when you needed help.  You are also share with someone some examples of big problems you would go to an adult about or how your body feels when your feelings are getting too big and you need help.
  • Who would you go to for help?  Make a list or draw a picture with the people who you would go to if you were having a hard time and needed help.  Set a goal to identify at least one grown up from home and one grown up from school.
  • How would you ask for help?  Think of an example of a time when you needed help.  You can role-play what you said to get the help you needed or what you wish you had said.
  • Check out this awesome read aloud of Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.  Who could Alexander have gone to for help?  How might he have helped himself?
