Mini-Lesson #40- Different Families, Different Rules

Every family is responding a little differently to remote learning, social distancing, and the stress of all that is going on in our world.  It can be difficult to see our friends and neighbors not following rules that our parents are saying that we have to follow.  Today's video discusses how different families might have different rules and ways of doing things, especially during these strange times.

• Have a family meeting and talk about the rules and values that are important to your family.  How is your family working together as a team to get through these tricky times?  Use this awesome teamwork video for inspiration!

• It is important that we respect and understand our own family values and rules.  We also need to have respect for other ways of doing things.   Check out this great read aloud about respecting differences.  As a family, make a plan for how you will respond when neighbors have different ideas about socially distancing.
