Mini-Lesson #32- Dealing With Uncertainty

You might have a lot of questions right not that you are not able to get clear answers to.  All of these question marks around when things will return to "normal" may be causing you to feel very uncertain.  Uncertainty often brings with it worry and fear.  Let's explore these feelings and how we can manage them.

Follow Up Activities:
  • Are there things you are feeling uncertain about?  Talk to an adult at home or write about what questions you have and how you are feeling.  Know that the adults may not have all the answers but can help support you in these uncertain times.
  • Identify the things that you do have control over to help you to feel more grounded.  Get out that reboot strategy jar to help when the uncertainty or worry gets big.
  • Check out this read aloud of A Little Spot of Anxiety to help identify and respond to worry that might stem from uncertainty.

Resource for Parents!!!
  • I HIGHLY recommend checking out Lynn Lyons' new podcast called A Mom's Retreat: Managing Anxiety With Lynn Lyons.   I have been getting so much out of it as a school counselor and parent.  https://luxerecess.com/amomsretreat/
