Mini-Lesson #7- Families Feuds? I have strategies to get along!

Good Morning!  We are into week two of hanging out with only our immediate family members.  I hope you are having lots of sweet moments with your family members but I'm guessing there have probably been difficult times too.  Are you remembering to check in with yourself and notice your feelings and their size?  Are you getting space when you need it?  Watch my video for tips on getting along with your family!

Follow Up Activities:

  • Make a list of things that you like to do with your siblings (brothers and sisters).  If you don't have siblings, write a list of things you like to do with your parents/guardians.  Doing things that we enjoy together can help tighten our bond and remind us that getting along feels good!
  • Have a plan for when things go bad!  What will you do when you start to get really annoyed, angry, or frustrated with someone in your family?  Have a peaceful strategy ready to go.  Maybe you will plan to go to your room and read a book or go outside and run around.  Maybe you will use your words and say that you are getting frustrated and need space.  Practice and use these strategies!
