Perspective Taking Using Finding Nemo

We have been using the movie Finding Nemo in 2nd and 3rd grade guidance classes to talk about and show the importance of perspective taking and acknowledging different points of view.  Students were challenged to think about the scuba diver/dentist's perspective and how this story would have been different if it were told by the dentist.

In our next lesson we will be using student experiences/conflicts and looking for the different points of view within the story.  Students will be asked to think about how looking for and identifying the other point of view in a conflict can help them to be more empathic and better problem solvers.
