Review last lesson about responding to hurtful actions at school. Ask: When we get upset at school how can we make sure that we don't make a hurtful choice?
Knowing how you feel is an important step in figuring out how to help yourself when you are upset. As a class, make a list of feeling words.
Read the book- Mouse Was Mad
- What do you think mouse was mad about?
- Is it okay to get mad?
- What did he do about his angry feelings?
- What helped him to calm down?
Turn and talk- How do you express your angry feelings? What helps you to calm down?
Practice strategies to cope with angry feelings.

I practice my square breathing,
I slowly count from one to ten.
I talk it out or exercise,
'til I am glad again!
