Mini-Lesson #11- Mindful Monday (Using Our Senses)!

It's our second edition of Mindful Monday!  Today we are going to use our senses to help us to be mindful.  Check out today's video to learn more!
Follow Up Activities:
  • Close your eyes and notice all the sounds you hear.  You might notice sounds that you wouldn't normally notice when your brain is busy.
  • Use your sight to focus on something calming.  You could watch the trees outside sway in the breeze or a bird flying around your backyard.  I encourage you to try mindful seeing with the jellyfish of Monterey Bay Aquarium

  • Find an object that has an interesting texture (really soft or rough) or an object that means a lot to you.  Close your eyes and focus on how that object feels.  Explore it with your hands and notice it's texture and physical qualities.
  • If you are looking to bring all of these mindfulness practices together and use all of your senses, try out this 5 senses meditation.
