Coming Soon To A Playground Near You....The Pond Cove Buddy Bench!

Last year's 4th graders class gift!

Thanks to last years 4th graders and the Pond Cove Parent Association, this year Pond Cove playground will have its first Buddy Bench!  What is a buddy bench you ask?  Basically, a buddy bench is a designated bench that students can use as a way to connect with new friends.  Let's say that you can't find anyone to play with but are nervous to walk over and ask a new group to play, you can take a seat on the buddy bench, which signifies to others that you would like to be included.  Before you know it, your classmates will be headed over to you with invitations to play!

Our Buddy Bench will stay in my office for the first couple of weeks of school so that all Pond Cove students can learn how to use the bench and be trained to keep an eye out for students who are sitting on the bench and want to be included.  Stay tuned for more Buddy Bench updates!
